Are You A Rebel?

It’s not just about the cool black leather jacket you’ll get upon initiation. It’s a lifestyle. It’s the stuff the world changers are made of but… they come few and far between. Maybe you’re a rebel or a rebel in the making. Do these clues remind you of yourself?

You’re Thick Skinned-
Every rebel knows that no one will EVER agree with their plans, the way they make decisions and their vision for their life. If you can get ONE person to support you in your dream, you’re way ahead of the game and maybe you should add a shot at the Presidency to your To-Do list.

You will be frowned upon. You will be ostracized. You will be laughed at. You will be picked on. You will feel like a failure by society’s standards but since you couldn’t care less about the designated path, this shouldn’t be too much to ignore.

You Love Risks –
It might take the average person 5 minutes to decide which blue jeans to wear with their black sweater and you, you’ll reach into the closet with your eyes closed and pull something out and KNOW you’ll look like a star once you pop your collar and step outside.

You don’t need positive reinforcement or reassurance when you want to do what you want to do. You just do it. And they watch and stare in amazement. They roll their eyes in disgust. They laugh at you when it seems like you failed but they fall asleep with you on their minds. You’re going to get what you want, whether they like it or not. You’re not afraid to fail and because of this…you rarely do.

You Set Trends-
They never thought about wearing red boots with their jeans until you did it. You shake your head the next day as you pass by 3 imitations. You don’t follow trends. You don’t need to. Your closet is a treasure trove of items you love instead of a coven of garments some outdated magazine told you that you needed. And they notice. They watch and they follow you instead. Searching for their individuality they see yours and they cling to that until they can find a voice of their own.
